Princeton Shuttle (Dinky): Substitute Bus Service between Princeton & Princeton Junction to Accommodate New Princeton Station Construction - Saturday, September 14, 2013
On Saturday, September 14, buses will replace the rail shuttle service between Princeton and Princeton Junction stations due to ongoing construction of Princeton University’s Arts and Transit Center, which includes a new Princeton Rail Station.
View schedule HERE.
During this time, NJ TRANSIT buses will provide substitute bus service for customers. Buses will depart from locations near the rail platform at both Princeton Junction and Princeton stations.
- At Princeton Junction, buses will depart from the bus stop on the westbound side of the station near the Dinky platform and discharge customers at the bus stop on Alexander Street northbound adjacent to the parking lot and temporary rail station.
- At Princeton, buses to Princeton Junction will board at the bus stop on Alexander Street (southbound) across from the temporary rail station.
Princeton Junction-bound buses will depart Princeton Station up to 30 minutes EARLIER than regularly scheduled shuttle train times. Bus trips are scheduled for approximately 20 minutes with 12-15 minutes allowed for connections between buses and trains at Princeton Junction.
The added time minimizes the possibility of missed connections at Princeton Junction. However, traffic or other road conditions could affect our effort to maintain connections. Please allow additional travel time.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
