East Orange Station: Westbound Elevator Closed Temporarily for Upgrades - Beginning Monday, March 19, 2018
Beginning Monday, March 19, the outbound (westbound) platform elevator at East Orange Station will be temporarily out of service for upgrades. The elevator is scheduled to return to service on or about Thursday, April 19.
Customers requiring elevator service may consider these alternate travel options:
- Traveling to East Orange Station from points east (New York/Newark): Remain on the train to South Orange, where elevators are available. At South Orange, board the next inbound train to East Orange.
- Traveling from East Orange to points west (Summit/Dover): Board an inbound train to Newark Broad Street, where elevators are available. At Newark Broad Street, transfer to an outbound train to your destination.
- NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 21 departs from East Orange Station for service to Newark Penn Station where New York-bound trains, light rail and PATH service is available.
