Elizabeth Station: Outbound (Westbound) Elevator Out of Service Temporarily due to Repair Work - Effective Immediately
Effective immediately and continuing until further notice, the outbound (westbound) elevator at Elizabeth Station is temporarily closed due to repair work. NJ TRANSIT is awaiting parts before making repairs.
During this time, customers requiring accessible service may consider the following travel options:
- Traveling from Elizabeth Station TO points west (toward Trenton/Long Branch): Board an inbound train to Newark Airport or Newark Penn Station, and then transfer to an outbound train to your destination.
- Traveling toElizabeth Station from points east (e.g. Newark/New York): Remain on the train to Rahway Station, and then transfer to an inbound train to Elizabeth.
Please NOTE: North Elizabeth and Linden have ramps ONLY.
- NJ TRANSIT Bus Route Nos. 48 and 62 provide frequent service between Elizabeth Station, Newark Airport terminals A-B-C and several NJ TRANSIT rail stations, including Newark Penn, Rahway, Metropark, Woodbridge and Perth Amboy.
