Rahway Station: Inbound (Eastbound) Elevator Temporarily Out of Service for Repairs through Wednesday, July 26, 2017
Effective immediately, the inbound (eastbound) elevator at Rahway Station continues to be closed for upgrades and improvements.
The elevator is expected to return to service on or about Wednesday, July 26.
During this outage, customers requiring accessible service should consider the following travel options:
- Traveling FROM Rahway Station to points east (e.g. Newark/New York): Board an outbound (Trenton/Long Branch) train and transfer at Metropark or Woodbridge stations to an inbound train to your destination.
- Traveling TO Rahway Station from points west (e.g. Trenton): Remain on the train to Linden and transfer to an outbound train to Rahway. Please note that Linden Station has ramps ONLY.
- Customers can also travel from Metropark Station.
- NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 48 provides service between Rahway Station and Metropark Station. All trips operate with lift-equipped buses. (Check Bus No. 48 timetable for more information.)
