Newark Airport: Buses Replace AirTrain Weekends in October due to Ongoing Construction Work in Terminal C
During the weekends in October, the Port Authority of NY & NJ will continue ongoing construction for the Terminal C in-line baggage screening system. To allow for this work, AirTrain service will be replaced by shuttle buses for connections between the terminals and the parking lot/rental car stations.
During this time, the AirTrain will operate with the following reduced level of service:
Saturday, October 13 to Sunday, October 14 AND Saturday, October 27 to Sunday, October 28, 2012
- 12:01 a.m. – 5 a.m. (Saturday): Shuttles from P1 to P3, P3 to Terminal B, and P4 to RailLink
- 5:01 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Saturday): Four train loop operating on 5-minute frequency between P1 and Terminal B, and a double shuttle between P4 and RailLink.
- 12:01 a.m. – 7 a.m. (Sunday): Shuttles from P1 to P3, P3 to Terminal B, and P4 to RailLink
- 7:01 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Sunday): Four train loop operating on 5-minute frequency between P1 and Terminal B, and a double shuttle between P4 and RailLink.
Saturday, October 20 to Sunday, October 21, 2012
- 4:01 p.m. – 10 p.m. (Saturday): Four train loop operating on 5-minute frequency between P1 and Terminal B, plus a double shuttle between P4 and RailLink
- 10:01 p.m. (Saturday) – 7 a.m. (Sunday): No AirTrain Service available.
- 7:01 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Sunday): Four train loop operating on 5-minute frequency between P1 and Terminal B, and a double shuttle between P4 and RailLink.
Customers should allow additional time traveling between terminals and the Airport Rail Station.
