Trenton Station Renovation Background
Trenton Station is owned and operated by NJ TRANSIT but is also used by Amtrak, which controls all train operations at the station and on the Northeast Corridor.
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) also operates from this station, providing service to and from Philadelphia.
The major functions of the station take place along the overpass/concourse. The station serves an approximate daily weekday average ridership of 5,500 passengers. The lower level consists of two high-level island platforms with 1,000 linear feet of canopies and 2,000 square feet of shelter space, and one side low-level platform.
