The project includes improvements to key customer areas, including new restrooms, waiting areas and platforms. The accessibility improvements include construction of two mini high-level platforms with canopies and lighting, two elevators, modifications to the pedestrian subway floor slope and other miscellaneous accessibility improvements as required to provide access to station facilities. Additionally, the accessibility improvements include interior improvements to the Baggage Room located in the Eastbound Station Building, and interior improvements and exterior rehabilitation work to the westbound Shelter House, as required to install and protect the elevators being installed in these areas, along with a rehabilitation of the Eastbound Station Building Roof and the installation of new Passenger Communication and CCTV Systems.
